Fans of Toby Carvery have been left 'devastated' as the pub chain has reportedly axed a popular Sunday menu item. The nationwide pub chain had seemingly removed lamb from its menu.
The carvery will now only offer lamb on specific dates as part of a reduced menu. Toby Carvery took to social media to share the news to fans and offer and explanation.
Birmingham Live reports that the company replied to an angry fan on Twitter. They wrote: “The lamb is now only available on specific dates due to a supplier issue.”

But a butcher fumed in reply: “Working in the meat industry I can assure you there’s no supply issue on lamb. How much do you want?"
He added: “It’s the price - your carver has just told us that. Massive disappointment. Why not just add a surplus charge? It’s then a choice.”
Toby Carvery's owner said: "We experienced difficulties within our own lamb supply chain which has meant it hasn’t been on our decks as frequently recently.” It comes after Harvester is holding crunch talks to consider reversing its decision to axe self-service salad bars following public outcry.
A source told The Sun : "Talks are under way between customer focus groups and the heads of the company and it is looking like the salad bar will go back to self-service.
"Customers were clearly upset after the news and that is something Harvester want to rectify." According to its company website, Harvester serves more than 30million meals a year.
