More than 75% of readers disagreed with the reduction of the speed limit on the Mancunian Way.
A series of crashes since 2018, including one fatal collision, prompted the decision by Manchester council.
The limit is a temporary one currently but may be made permanent if it’s shown to make a significant difference during an 18-month trial period.

Some 76% of people we surveyed disagreed with the reduction from 50mph to 30mph, with a further 84% saying they would be against speed limit capping on other roads.
In response to the survey, some highlighted issues with the layout of the road, with one saying: "The speed limit decrease on Mancunian Way doesn't address the issue that the road design is wrong."
Others felt there should be other initiatives put in place, with one person saying: "Instead of cutting speed limits, the government should do campaigns to show the public how to actually drive properly."
However, there were some calls for other roads around the city to have further speed limits enforced, with one person asking for: "20mph limits on all roads within the inner ring road."
