Two lads from Burnage have described their surprise after bumping into Liam Gallagher while he was filming a new music video.
The former Oasis singer was filming a video for new track One of Us in Cringle Park, Burnage, near to where he grew up on Wednesday night.
Brothers Nick, 23, and Michael Osborne, 26, were making their way home after having a drink out with their granddad when they stumbled across the film set.
The pair pulled over their car when they spotted Liam and tried to take photos of the singer.
They were told by Liam's manager they were not allowed to take any pictures, but the Wall of Glass singer told them to come nearer for a chat.
Liam, 46, posed for pictures with the two brothers and complimented Nick on his Adidas trainers.
He later Tweeted about the filming and wrote: "Just finished shooting new video for One of us in Manchester thankyou to everyone involved Why me Why not LG x"
Nick, a telecoms engineer, said: "As we turned a corner he just popped out and started to shoot his video.
"We pulled the car over. His manager said you 'Can't take photos' but he said come over and calls us over for a photo.
"He said 'How is it going?' and said I like your trainers."
He added: "It was mad, you don't expect to see him walking down the street.
"We are going to try and get tickets to his next show in Novermber. We should've asked him last night but I was a bit starstruck."
Nick said both brothers attended the same primary school as the Gallagher's and have grown up listening to Oasis.
Liam Gallagher is performing a homecoming tour at Manchester Arena on November 20 this year following the release of new album 'Why Me? Why Not?'
