The job vacancies in Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Lidl across Nottinghamshire

Supermarket workers across the country are showing themselves to be some of the most hardworking key workers during the fight against coronavirus.

Staying open to stock our essentials during the pandemic, supermarkets and their staff are keeping the nation fed and stocked up during the national emergency.

And across Nottinghamshire, major supermarkets including Tesco, Morrisons, Lidl and Aldi are all recruiting new staff to help them weather the storm of Covid-19.

Whether you have been furloughed and are looking for temporary work, or you simply fancy a career change, Nottinghamshire Live has compiled all the current supermarket vacancies we found across our area.

Asda is the only supermarket not to have posted a job.

Aldi

German budget supermarket giant Aldi has announced it is running a recruitment drive in stores across the UK - and is famously known for its respectable salaries.

And in total there are 23 vacancies for shop assistants across our area - with a starting salary ranging between £9.40 and £10.41 per hour.

There will be roles available at stores in Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, both Sutton-in-Ashfield stores, Rainworth, Shirebrook, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Hucknall, Bulwell, Clowne, Top Valley, Daybrook, Basford, Strelley, Worksop, Mapperley, Somercotes, Ilkeston and Heanor.

There are also roles in its Daleside Road, Glasshouse and Radford Boulevard stores in Nottingham. Some are available now, and you can register for others in advance. To apply or find out more, click here.

Lidl

Fellow German supermarket retailer Lidl is also hiring, but just the one job is available across our region - in Shirebrook.

Its Portland Road store is looking for a store manager, with a starting salary of about £41,000 per year.

Morrisons

Morrisons also has five job vacancies available on its website, which range from customer assistants to florists in its supermarkets.

The store in Nottingham is hiring a part time temporary shop assistant, while the stores in Gamston, Netherfield, Bulwell and Mansfield are all hiring shop florists.

There are also vacancies for delivery drivers as part of the company's aim to 'feed the nation'.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's has also posted five vacancies at its stores across Nottingham - all in convenience.

Its Mapperley Plains local store is hiring a store manager, as well as the Wollaton local store.

Local stores in West Bridgford, Wollaton and Mapperley's Breck Hill are also hiring customer and trading managers.

Tesco

Supermarket giant Tesco has not posted any in-store vacancies at its shops across Nottinghamshire.

However, its supermarkets in both Mansfield's Oak Tree and in Hucknall are hiring duty pharmacy managers for the pharmacies inside the shops.

Its One Stop store in Alfreton is hiring a shift manager, while Alfreton's Tesco supermarket is hiring a manager for the cafe. However, the cafe is closed due to the pandemic.
