One of Edinburgh's newest restaurants has just been named as the latest addition to the Michelin Guide.
Talented chef Stuart Ralston, who is behind the Top 100 National Restaurant Aizle and Michelin Bib-awarded Noto, unveiled tipo as his third and latest restaurant in the capital earlier this year.
And it appears he's not only been pleasing local diners but also the inspectors at the prestigious restaurant guide after they added it as one of their entries for the month of June.
While the Michelin Guide distinctions — Stars, Green Stars and Bib Gourmands — are only revealed at the annual ceremony, the Inspectors add restaurants to the selection year-round, and tipo was one of 11 additions that most impressed the inspectors this month.

Hailing the exciting capital restaurant, they said: "Named after the fine Italian '00' flour that’s used for making pasta, this relaxed and comforting restaurant could quickly become your go-to in Edinburgh’s New Town.
"British, Mediterranean and Italian cuisines have all influenced the menu, which provides plenty of flavour and value for money. It’s the seriously good homemade pasta that will catch your eye, but don’t ignore the selection of small plates or you’ll miss out on wonderful dishes like sea bass crudo."
The eatery features a menu focussing on a modern take on European cuisine, with in-house prepared ingredients such as fresh pasta and cured and aged-charcuterie and cheeses.
They also celebrate small artisanal family-owned wineries as well as offering a range of classic cocktails.
