Tesco rivals Samsung with latest 'cashback points' as it offers 3,000 Clubcard points on £16 tech item

Tesco Mobile is giving thousands of Clubcard points away on one £16 tech product in its latest summer offer. It comes just weeks after the supermarket launched the S23 Ultra with a huge £486 saving, on the back of Samsung's own offer, giving £200 away to all shoppers who bought a smartphone.

The retailer's recent mobile deals have put the likes of Apple and Samsung to the test as it slashes hundreds of pounds worth of savings for those who took out a handset on a specific data deal. Now there's a chance for those on a smaller budget to get double their money's worth.

Its latest offer means shoppers will get £30 back after paying an initial £16 to sign up, just under double the amount paid at online checkout. This time around shoppers have to aim for the SIM-only aisle and pick up the 100GB data plan.

The 24-month SIM is already slashed by £1.50 a month for Clubcard holders so when combining both the monthly saving and cashback offer shoppers with the supermarkets distinct rewards card will get a total of £66 off the product.

Even better, the £16 a month purchase can be bought with existing Clubcard points, so depending how many shoppers have saved up could mean the its picked up for free.

Tesco's 100GB data plan comes with unlimited minutes and UK texts, O2 network coverage and EU data roaming, an essential for many at this time of year. Shoppers will get the 3,000 points, equivalent to a £30 voucher, as soon as they've made the first monthly £16 payment.

The cashback is only available on the 100GB SIM only plan, but another saving can be found on the 30GB a month plan. There's no Clubcard points up for grabs here but there is a £1.50 saving a month for all card holders, which would come to £36 across the whole two year plan.
