Tesco shoppers may notice something different from today as the supermarket giant rolls out a huge change.
The Clubcard app - which allows you to scan a digital version of your loyalty card, spend and view points - has now been replaced. Customers are now being urged to download the new, revamped Clubcard & Grocery app to avoid missing out on points.
It means that you can now use the one app to pay and collect Clubcard points as well as viewing your balance and spending any vouchers you have earned through the loyalty scheme.
You can even order a grocery delivery and check stock in your local store within the new app.
Tesco's new Grocery & Clubcard app is available to download for free on Android devices and iPhones, reports the Mirror. The change does not impact the use of physical Clubcard, with shoppers able to use these in store as normal.
Clubcards allow Tesco customers to earn points which can then be converted into Tesco vouchers, with each point worth 1p to spend in store.
The change follows a closure that saw Tesco get rid of the Pay+ app back in February, with the new app essentially combining features of the other applications.
A spokesperson for Tesco said: "Bringing the functionality of Tesco Pay+ into the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app is a demonstration of our focus on providing products which closely align to the needs of Tesco shoppers."
There are also other changes being introduced by Tesco's Clubcard scheme in the coming weeks.
From June 14, shoppers will get less money for their Clubcard points when redeeming them with a "Rewards Partner", with the points value doubled from that date rather than tripled as they are now.
For example, 500 points would give you £5 to spend in store. But as things stand, you could cash in for £15 worth of vouchers from "Rewards Partners". However, from June 14, those points will give you £10 in vouchers.
The supermarket giant currently has over 100 "Rewards Partners" including brands like Pizza Express, Legoland, Alton Towers, Cineworld and Hotels.com.
Tesco is also changing the amount of points you can earn when filling your car up at its petrol stations.
Currently, drivers earn one Clubcard point for every £2 they spend on fuel. However, from June 14, this will change to one point for every two litres purchased.
