Tenplus: These new phytonutrient sachets are perfect for female athletes

Firstly, the good news: women gain twice the benefits of exercise than men – even when putting in less time and effort. However, women need to consume more nutrients than men in order to see these effects.

In fact, women burn through more macronutrients like fats, carbs, and protein during a workout, along with iron, calcium, and other vitamins.

Plus, a woman’s nutritional intake varies during the menstrual cycle which can lead to fatigue.

Which is exactly why Tenplus could be the answer. Launching at the end of June, Tenplus is a new phyto-hydration drink mix that allows for optimal performance, recovery, and hydration.

Developed by Balinese supplement expert G Herbal, Tenplus contains a blend of 4.5g of phytonutrients, vitamins, and electrolytes.

It comes in 8.5g sachets – light enough to keep a stash in your gym bag or on your person for a hit anywhere, anytime – and there are six different flavours to choose from: mango, sea salt lemonade, pineapple, orange, mixed berry, and tropical citrus.

The phytonutrients included are: Panax ginseng, turmeric, piperine, moringa, green coffee, green tea, mint leaf, red ginger, kencur (aromatic ginger) and tamarind. Each of these is harvested from G Herbal’s farms at its base in Indonesia.

Each ingredient in a Tenplus sachet has been scientifically tested to ensure it provides quick muscle recovery post-workout, and can also reduce inflammation and fatigue.

The sachets also ach provide much of your body’s daily vitamin requirements – 100 per cent of vitamin C, 53 per cent of vitamin B1, 56 per cent of vitamin B2, and 19, 15, and 35 per cent of B3, B5, and B6 respectively.

The vitamin B complexes are essential for active individuals as they can support essential functions such as carbohydrate-to-energy conversion (B1), red blood cell production (B2), energy release from food (B3), nutrient metabolism (B5), and amino acid metabolism (B6).

Each sachet also contains essential minerals such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium.

Plus, the sachets won’t break the bank – a pack of 12, which should last a month, costs £17.95, or £12.57 on a one-, two-, or three-month rolling subscription that can be cancelled at any time.

Tenplus launches in the UK on June 27, 2024. Find out more here.
