Tenant's Nightmare: Landlord Moves Into Apartment Without Permission

Tenant’s Worst Nightmare Comes True After Landlord Moves Into Living Room With Husband

If you’ve never had to deal with an infuriating landlord, consider yourself lucky. Finding a place to rent is not just about picking a spot to rest your head at night. It’s also about navigating through a minefield of potential problems, especially when you have a difficult landlord to deal with.

One man took to social media to share how his rental experience turned into an absolute nightmare when his landlord seemingly took the idea of “keeping an eye on the apartment” to a whole new level.

The tenant shared videos about having his landlord, her husband, and her son move into the living room of the very same apartment that they had rented out to him.

“Pov: you rent a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom min nyc with two other tenants and the landlord decided to move into the living room with her husband and son,” read the text on the man’s TikTok video.

In the clip posted on Feb. 9, the TikToker is captured having a heated argument with the woman about how it isn’t right for her to move into the living room after making it clear that he would only have to share the apartment with the two existing roommates.

People in the comments section were just as baffled as the tenant was when they saw the viral video on TikTok.

The tenant later posted another video where he was arguing about the same issue with the woman’s son, who was apparently the one who listed the apartment for rent and mentioned nothing about his parents living in the apartment.

Eventually, the tenant posted another video on Feb. 13. about the landlord finally throwing the man out of the apartment and leaving all his stuff in the hallway.

He mentioned how the cops were not helpful enough and asserted that he would be handling the situation the legal way.

“In the meantime, I’m staying at a hotel. [I’m] obviously very privileged to be able to afford a hotel and stay here until I find a new place,” he said in the video.
