A talented Dumbarton youngster – who went viral online – was singing for joy when her idol invited her to Los Angeles on a “once in a lifetime” trip.
Seven-year-old Rosie Mae Tiffoney from Castlehill got to meet her hero, singer Jax, in the USA after the TikTok star was left impressed by Rosie Mae singing her song, ‘Victoria’s Secret’.
The singer reached out to Rosie Mae and her mum to pay for an all-expenses paid trip for the pair to New York after being so impressed by how Rosie Mae had embraced the body positivity message from her song.
However, mum Kimberley Bullion, 31, became worried after the trip to New York got cancelled, she said: “We got a call from Jax saying she was going to fly us to New York.
“Rosie was just chuffed to talk to her on the phone, never mind actually getting to fly out to meet her.
“However, we got a call from her manager saying that the event in New York was cancelled, so they were cancelling our New York trip too.
“At that point, all sorts of thoughts are going through your head, but he was like ‘no, no, we are going to send you to Los Angeles instead’.
“Rosie Mae was screaming, ‘we are going to go to Hollywood’.”
Jax invited Rosie Mae and her mum to Los Angeles from Friday, September 9, to Tuesday, September 13.
The pair didn’t go alone though, as Jax also invited Rosie Mae’s friend, Maisie.
Kimberley couldn’t believe Jax’s generosity, she said: “Jax said to Rosie to bring Maisie out too.
“So, Maisie and Natalie (Maisie’s guardian for the trip) came out too, and Jax paid for the lot.
“What an amazing woman Jax is.
“The trip was absolutely unreal. People say never meet your heroes, but that was just so incorrect. She was so nice and humble”
Kimberley couldn’t believe the love that someone so big and who charted as high as No. 2 on the Spotify U.S. was showing her daughter from Dumbarton, she said: “They flew us out to Los Angeles and put us into a Marriott hotel.
“We arrived on the Friday, and the next day Jax and her boyfriend came and picked us up in their car, and we spent the day together.
“We went to a food market, we went shopping and went back to her house.
“Whilst we were there, they made TikToks, ate cookies and doughnuts. Rosie even got to phone Jojo Siwa.
“We hung out all day, and she took us back home around 9.30pm. It was cracking.
“Jax was flying to New York the next day, so we were only expecting to hang out with her in the morning. But that wasn’t the case, for her to do that was so lovely.
“Rosie was shy at first, but by the end, they were playing jokes on each other.
“She said to Rosie to give her a phone whenever she needs help. I feel as though we have known her for much longer, in that we know her as an actual person.
“I’ve walked away from the whole experience knowing she is a friend.
“For Jax to give Rosie that opportunity is once in a lifetime.”
