If you’re planning to do your big Christmas shop online this year then it helps to be prepared. Christmas slots opened up for bookings as early as October with many on Christmas Eve snapped up almost immediately.
But the Christmas food shop can be one of the most stressful parts of festive preparation. The stores are packed full of people, there’s a fight for the final bag of Brussels sprouts and you have to queue for an hour to leave the car park.
While Aldi and Lidl don’t offer delivery or click-and-collect, the other big supermarkets have plenty to offer. We've got the dates when each supermarket allows you to book your Christmas delivery, and when your orders will be delivered.
These dates are all correct at the time of writing, however as there is a massive demand for them, expect them to be snapped up quickly. We recommend that you write your shopping list in advance so that you don’t waste time and lose out on your slot.
Some supermarkets also offer express or premium delivery services that will reduce the cost of delivery services, however, these often come with a monthly fee so be sure you check before signing up to these that it’s worth the investment.
Asda
