New Year is approaching and no doubt all the food you panic bought in the run-up to Christmas has dwindled. But for those entertaining over the New Year, the need for nibbles calls.
So, if you need to restock on cheese and crackers then heading for a supermarket might be your best bet. Expect them to be busy, so give yourself plenty of time to get around.
Below is a table of the major supermarkets and their New Year opening hours. This is just a rough guide as each individual store may vary their opening hours, so before you head out to pick up extra bottles of Prosecco on New Year’s Eve, double-check before leaving.

For smaller stores, such as Tesco Express of Sainsbury's Local, you may find that opening hours are totally different. These smaller stores, as well as local businesses, may also be open longer hours.
