The Philadelphia Eagles will enter Championship Weekend as the Super Bowl favorites. According to DraftKings sportsbook, they are listed at +180, ahead of both the Kansas City Chiefs (+220) and Buffalo Bills (+255). It is the first time all season that Saquon Barkley and company are at the top of the odds board, and it will very likely be short-lived, no matter who comes out of the AFC.
Eagles Are Super Bowl Favorites Now, But Won’t Be After Sunday
The Chiefs entered the season as the favorites to win it all, and remained there throughout much of the year. Despite not looking like the dominant team that we’ve been accustomed to over the past few years, Kansas City finished tied for the best record in the NFL with a 15-2 mark, earning them a first round bye in the playoffs.
But they have just the slightest of margins in terms of odds over the visiting Buffalo Bills for the AFC Championship, coming in as 1-point favorites. That is because Josh Allen and his team have lost just one fully-healthy game since Week 6 (they rested their starters for their Week 18 loss to the Patriots), a season that included a defeat of the Chiefs back in mid-November. Buffalo is looking to overcome their tendency for postseason heartbreak, and have looked as good as any team in the NFL over the past few months.
The road to the Super Bowl now runs through Philadelphia.

It appears that the Eagles are listed as favorites only due to the fact that the Chiefs and Bills have to play against each other. One of the two teams will have to go home on Sunday, meaning that Philadelphia has the best shot of any team just to make it to the big game. Unless there happens to be some kind of major injury blow to either of the AFC teams, Philadelphia would be listed as Super Bowl underdogs should they advance past the Commanders.
But first things first. Washington has already overcome two underdog statuses during their Cinderella postseason run, including knocking off the mighty Detroit Lions, who were 10.5-point favorites. The Eagles are listed as 6.5-point favorites for the NFC Championship game against the Commanders, and shouldn’t be taking their opponent lightly if they hope to make it back to their second Super Bowl in the last three years.
When it comes to winning it all, the Commanders are listed all the way back at +750.
