If there were to be a color that morphs into a neutral come springtime, it would be nature's very own green. Reminiscent of fresh grass and leafy plants, green can be seen around the home all year round, but it takes on a whole new meaning in a time of growth and rebirth.
Daisy Jones & The Six star Suki Waterhouse and Twilight's Robert Pattinson have utilized a deep shade in their kitchen, and they have not shied away from covering all surfaces. In a TikTok shared by design company IHF Interiors, we see the actor's West London flat broken down room by room, and the green kitchen is a standout with its bold emerald walls and cabinets, marble countertops, and luxe gold faucet.
For those who have been considering infusing more color into the home, this time of year is highly appropriate, with green mirroring the blooms we see outside our windows.

'Spring is one of the best seasons for interiors,' says Michael Rolland, Managing Director at The Paint Shed. 'The longer, lighter days and new bursts of color in nature are fantastic sources of inspiration for the home. Injecting a new color into your living space is a great way to re-energize your home, and my favorite springtime shade for 2024 is a clean, fresh green.'
For optimal radiance, Rolland recommends selecting a vivid green paint color.
'A bright green is a perfect shade for your interiors for the spring months,' he says. More specifically, a bright and clean tone, such as Farrow & Ball’s Yeabridge Green, is the perfect balance between energizing and soothing. It emulates the fresh and upbeat nature of the spring season, and will beautifully reflect light to make the most of the longer days.'
Rolland says that kitchens are a safe choice for such a bold color, but he also recommends trying bedroom cabinetry as an alternative option.
'It’s also important to consider where you get natural light in the home - avoid using it in a room which is on the darker side, as this color very much thrives in the sunshine,' he says.
