Stuart Broad believes England will take an even more positive and aggressive approach with the bat in their second innings, having secured a 79 run first innings lead over Pakistan.
The hosts were in a strong position at the start of day two, resuming on 107-2, but when captain Babar Azam was bowled by Ollie Robinson for 75 it triggered something of a collapse. Pakistan went from 142-2 to 202 all out, losing their last eight wickets for just 60 runs.
Spinner Jack Leach was the chief destroyer, ending with figures of 4-98, with the dismissal of Saud Shakeel for 63 his 100th Test match wicket. And Broad expects to see "Bazball in fast forward" when England come out to bat after lunch.
Broad is missing this tour after his fiancee Mollie King gave birth to their daughter and is doing punditry work for Sky Sports instead. "With a big lead on this pitch, I think we could see BazBall in fast forward in Englands batting innings, if that's even possible," he tweeted.
However, Broad later called for Bazball to be renamed given England coach Brendon McCullum is not a fan of the term, adding: "I don’t like using 'BazBall' as I know he's not a fan of the word/phrase but what else can we call the style? All opinions welcome".
Speaking back in July, McCullum called 'Bazball' a "silly term". Speaking on SEN Radio, he said: "I don't really like that silly term that people are throwing out there.
"Because there's actually quite a bit of thought that goes into how the guys manufacture their performances and when they put pressure on bowlers and which bowlers they put pressure on.
"There's also times where they've absorbed pressure beautifully as well. I'm sure that our guys will try and still maintain a really positive approach.
"I think the real key is not just the crash and burn if we look at the approach of how the guys have done it."
