Stormy Daniels Testifies She Did Not Willingly Sign False Statement

Stormy Daniels enters federal court in Manhattan

Adult film actress Stormy Daniels recently testified that she did not sign a statement denying a 2006 sexual encounter with Donald Trump willingly. This encounter, which Trump has denied, has been a subject of controversy.

Daniels revealed that she received the statement from her lawyer, Keith Davidson, and although she signed it, she initially did not want to because it contained false information. She mentioned that signing anything at all was a violation of the NDA she was under. However, after consulting with her lawyer, she eventually signed the statement.

Signing the statement violated the NDA she was under.

It was confirmed that Davidson would send the statement to Trump's ex-lawyer, Michel Cohen, but Daniels did not specifically know that Cohen would further send it to the Wall Street Journal. The publication of the statement caused chaos in Daniels' life and compromised her privacy.

During her testimony, Daniels explained that her appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show in 2018 was intended to demonstrate how to promote without violating the NDA. She mentioned that she was given the statement to sign in a hotel room while in town for the show and deliberately altered her signature to signal to Kimmel that she did not sign it willingly.

When asked if the statement was false, Daniels unequivocally confirmed that it was indeed false. This testimony sheds light on the complexities surrounding the NDA and the events related to the alleged encounter between Daniels and Trump in 2006.
