Dubliners have been warned to avoid parks and open spaces as Storm Dudley hits the capital.
A nationwide status yellow weather warning is in place from noon today until midday on Thursday.
Dublin City Council Parks and Biodiversity have asked Dubliners to take extra caution during Storm Dudley.
They said on Facebook: "Following a ‘Yellow’ wind warning issued today by Met Éireann, Storm Dudley will bring some wet and very windy weather from 12:00 Wednesday to 12:00 Thursday.
"The public are advised to observe caution and not to enter Parks or Open Spaces where large trees are present during high winds.
"Caution should also be observed on roads and paths due to the risk of trees/branches falling."
Met Eireann have forecast "damaging gusts" and flooding during the storm.
They said: Westerly winds associated with Storm Dudley will reach mean speeds of 50 – 65km/h with damaging gusts of 80 – 110km/h, stronger on exposed coasts and on high ground.
"A combination of high tide and strong winds will lead to flooding on exposed coasts."
