A stolen Ford Fiesta was found 'hidden in plain sight' in a Nottinghamshire town after a string of car thefts. Nottinghamshire Police's Road Policing unit shared a photo of the stolen car being lifted away after it was located on Elston Close, Mansfield, on the morning of Thursday, March 16.
Officers said this was the latest in a string of thefts targeting the Ford model. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from Huthwaite the night before it was discovered "hiding in plain sight".
The specialist roads team added the car was now being returned to its owner. In a Twitter post, Notts Roads Policing said: "After a spate of theft of Fiesta's, RPU found this one hiding in plain sight.
