Sixteen people have been arrested after an out-of-control hooning event where police cars were damaged south of Brisbane.
About 350 people turned up to the March 9 event in Logan, where police said there was dangerous driving, officers assaulted, and wilful damage to three patrol cars.
Since then, 16 people have been arrested on 49 charges including serious assault of police, wilful damage of cars, hooning, dangerous driving, unlicensed driving, and return to prison warrants.
"I just like to take the opportunity to remind people that in these kinds of events, it's really important that they do the right thing," Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Brendan Blyth told reporters on Monday.
"If they don't, there will be a level of accountability."
Det Sen Sgt Blyth said the event was distasteful and disrespectful to the community and law enforcement.
"I think that kind of behaviour in any setting is terrible and it shows a blatant disrespect for the police," he said.
