A mum-of-12 has opened up about becoming about becoming a grandma at the of 37 - with the newborn just two months younger than her uncle.
Veronica Merritt had her first granddaughter born just two months after Veronica delivered her 12th child.
The TikTok famous mum - known as ThisMadMum - said that the newborns would grow up more like cousins, rather than an uncle and a niece.
When Victoria, Veronica's daughter, brought home her two-day-old daughter, Maddilyn Rosalie, the baby was welcomed by 11 aunts and uncles.
Opening up about the heartwarming moment when the whole family wanted to take turns holding the tiny infant, who weighed just under six pounds at birth, Victoria, 22, Veronica's daughter said: "They keep saying how cute she is".
Veronica, who had Victoria when she was just 14 added: "She reminds me of a baby bird in a nest because she's so sweet and fragile".
The 37-year-old mum from the US, who boasts more than 204,000 followers on TikTok, said she was excited to become a grandma at 37.
The new addition to the family has now brought up the total number of people in the household to 14, and Veronica added she was ''more than happy'' to help her daughter take care of the newborn.
In addition to Veronica, Victoria and Maddilyn, the big brood also consists of Andrew, 17; Adam, 16; Mara, 14; Dash, 13; Darla, 11; Marvelous, 9; Martalya, 7; Amelia, 5; Delilah, 4; Donovan, 2; and 9-week-old Modi.
Veronica regularly posts on the social media platform, and most recently introduced her granddaughter and described Victoria as ''absolutely glowing'' and a ''good mommy''.
The new grandma became a mum at the ripe age of 14, and has claimed that she has been pregnant for a cumulative nine years.
Although, she admitted she originally planned to have 16 children, she recently decided to give herself 'permission to stop' after Modi, the smallest one, became her last child.
However, the mum is often faced with backlash after critics on TikTok say her children came from "11 different fathers."
"People can think what they like, but my kids have only two dads," Veronica told The Insider.
Her first marriage ended in 2005, and she's now separated from her second husband, Marty, who is the father of all but two of her children.
Despite being slammed online, the mum lives a 'pretty laid back' life, saying “It’s usually pretty laid back because we can do a lot of it from YouTube videos.
“We do math and practice readings, but it’s a little hard with subjects such as history because you never actually know what’s actually true and what’s not.”
She joked: “I never know if I’m lying to the kids.”
Veronica also explained that her eldest daughter, Veronica, had a “bad experience” when in public school.
She said: “She went to public school for a little while but she had such a horrible time with it.
“She’s basically the reason why I wouldn’t want to send my other kids to public school.”
Most recently, Veronica who drives her kids around in a yellow bus, has been the face of more controversy online.
Despite having her own income, she has said that any earnings she made from a regular job would be swallowed up by the cost of babysitting.
She also added that the family was saving taxpayer money because she'd homeschooled her children for more than eight years.
But still, she has been criticised as she receives government help in the form of benefits and food stamps.
One person wrote on her TikTok when Maddilyn was two-days-old, "Another food stamp and wick baby to feed."
However, others have congratulated Veronica for bringing up such a big family despite their setbacks.
One wrote: "Congrats, Grandma! Her and Modi are going to have so much fun growing up together."
