Shopper vows never to buy from ASOS again after spotting 'blood stain' on new trousers

A student was left feeling incredibly disappointed after opening her recent ASOS purchase, only to find what she believes to be a 'period blood stain' on the crotch of her new retro-style trousers. Charlie Macfarlane, 16, says she had been 'excited' to receive the £26 item, listed onsite as ‘Daisy Street co-ord relaxed plisse trousers in pink retro face print’.

Unfortunately, her anticipation quickly turned to disgust after she opened the package and noticed a suspicious brown mark on the crotch, which to her eyes looked just like period blood. Sharing a pic of the stained trousers on Twitter, Charlie declared this would be the 'last time' she ever ordered from ASOS.

Charlie, from Edinburgh, tweeted: "This will be the first and last time I order from you. I received my Daisy Street trousers today and I check the trousers and I come across a brown stain on the crotch area, assuming it’s period blood. I’m appalled that your team did not see this before."

The teenager says she felt 'disappointed' by her grim discovery, having initially been 'excited to receive' the colourful pants.

Going forward, she's now calling upon ASOS to improve their quality control, remarking: "It was obvious that they had been washed but it’s not the standard of quality control I expected from ASOS."

According to Charlie, she also shared a review of the trousers and attempted to contact the customer service team, but to no avail.

She continued: "I have heard nothing. Online customer service is not helpful as you are not talking to an actual person."

An ASOS spokesperson said: "We want all our customers to have a positive experience when shopping with us, so we were sorry to hear that wasn’t the case here. We’re investigating the issue with our warehouse team as a matter of urgency and have issued a full refund to the customer."
