A SCOTTISH podcast has cut ties with a famous Glasgow chip shop after it hosted a Reform press conference.
The Supper and a Can podcast will no longer film in the Val D’Oro fish and chip shop after Richard Tice visited the venue to unveil new defectors to the party on Thursday.
The event was marred after Tice failed to name two of the councillors who had joined the right-wing populist party headed by Nigel Farage.
The podcast’s move adds to the party’s woes over recent weeks, which has seen one of their five MPs suspended for bullying allegations.
Rupert Lowe has denied the allegations and has claimed that Farage (below) has manufactured a scandal because he was perceived as a threat to the leader’s authority.

Giovanni, the host of Supper and a Can, who does not publicise his surname, took to Instagram to announce he was severing links with Val D’Oro.
In a video message, he said: “If anyone hasn’t seen or is unaware, Reform UK held a press meeting last Thursday in the Val D’Oro.
“Whilst we keep politics out of the show, this is something we just had to make clear, we have no involvement in nor do we agree with this party or their views.
"Because of this, we have made the decision to move out of the Val D’Oro, so we will no longer be filming there anymore.”
He said the next three episodes of the show, clips of which have racked up more than 15,000 views on social media, had been filmed in the venue in advance and would go out as normal, after which the podcast would be filmed in a new venue.
Giovanni said: “The way that we do the show is that we have backlogged episodes, so for the next three weeks, there will be episodes going out that are already pre-recorded in the Val D’Oro and that is just out of respect to our guests, we don’t want to lose those episodes or have to go and re-film them somewhere else.
“After those three episodes are out, we will be in a new location. So if anyone has a chippy or if anyone wants to see us in any certain chippies, please hit us a message and we’ll be sure to get in touch.”
The move was praised by the podcast’s social media followers, with recent guest Gavin Mitchell, Still Game’s Boaby the Barman, saying: “Right move. Well done and respect Sir.”
Another social media user added: “Massive respect. Courage”.
Val D’Oro and Reform UK were approached for comment.
