ScotRail will run an overnight service to and from Edinburgh on Monday as mourners head to the capital to pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, the operator has announced.
From 5pm on Monday through to 3pm on Tuesday, people will have the opportunity to file past the Queen's coffin at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh, before it is moved to Westminster.
With a large number of people looking to travel through to Edinburgh to get the chance to see the Queen's coffin, ScotRail will operate an hourly overnight service between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High in both directions.

Additionally, there will be a 15-minute service between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High from the hours of 10am to 4pm on Tuesday.
Alongside the announcement, Managing Director Alex Hynes stated: "We are deeply saddened at the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts and prayers are with King Charles and the Royal Family at this time.
"We are doing everything we can to help people pay their respects at any of the ceremonial events taking place in Scotland.
"Our trains will be busier than normal, particularly to and from Edinburgh, during this period, and we will keep people up to date across our social media channels and on our website."

ScotRail will operate the following services on Monday and Tuesday
- An hourly overnight service between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High in both directions on Monday night into Tuesday morning.
- Additional carriages across the network for services to and from Edinburgh. We will monitor passenger numbers across the network and make further interventions where required and where possible.
- A 15-minute service between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High between 10.00 and 16.00.
- Express services between High Street and Airdrie (and then the normal service east of Airdrie to Edinburgh), with intermediate stations removed from the service. Shuttle rail services for the intermediate services will be introduced for those wishing to travel to stations between High Street and Airdrie.
As reported by Edinburgh Live, many mourners have already begun queuing in the capital in order to be among the first to pay their respects to the Queen when her coffin arrives at St Giles' Cathedral on Monday afternoon.
