Sainsbury's shoppers can't get enough of 'iconic' Christmas decoration that costs more than a meal deal

It’s the most wonderful time of the year where supermarkets battle it out to offer shoppers the best festive meal deal sandwich. But has Sainsbury’s taken it a step too far?

Many retailers have been amusing customers with wacky Christmas decorations, but a £3.75 ornament from Sainsbury’s might just take the cake… or the meal deal.

TikTok users have gone wild over an ‘iconic’ decoration in the form of a Sainsbury’s meal deal, the Mirror reports . And shoppers can’t stop raving about the ‘iconic’ design.

Customer Pauline Kobo took to TikTok to share the store's hilarious meal deal Christmas decoration, and her video has continued to rocket in views since. In the video, which has surpassed 1.1 million views since posting, Pauline was stunned by the tree decoration and took to the popular video-streaming service to share her discovery.

The Sainsbury's Home Xmas Sandwich Hanging Decorations originally retails for £5, but it's currently reduced to £3.75 - which is still more than the price of an actual meal deal, currently priced at £3.50 for a sandwich, side and drink.

The ornament features a miniaturised meal deal in iconic red packaging to hang on your tree - and it's safe to say that Sainsbury's put a lot of festive thought into the design.

The online description reads: "Sandwich for Santa? Fire the kids' imagination up and get them to hang this snack for hungry elves and reindeer this year. Festive fun for everyone."

After posting, over 1,000 viewers took to the comment section to share their thoughts on the quirky design.

One user exclaimed: "Genius,” while another added: "Iconic."

A different user tagged a friend and wrote: "I say we get this as a key ring,” as a fourth admitted: "I want one!"
