Work to introduce safety measures on a road in Paisley where a teenager was killed is due to start in October.
Plans have been drawn up for two buildouts, speed cushions, fresh road markings and new signage on Glenburn Road, following the death of Robyn Fryar three years ago.
The 15-year-old died on July 7, 2019, after being hit by speeding driver Shaun Gatti while walking home.

The 23-year-old was jailed for five years and three months and banned from the roads for 11 years and seven months for causing her death by dangerous driving.
Renfrewshire Council has now confirmed its intention to progress a series of speed calming proposals following a consultation.
The buildouts will require drivers to stop and give way to vehicles coming from the opposite direction. The stopped cars then proceed once their path is clear.
Council officers hope this will slow traffic and reduce the risk of road users reaching a high speed.
Once the works have commenced, they are expected to take between four and six weeks.
A council spokesperson said: “Following engagement with local community, elected members and stakeholders on proposals to improve safety on Glenburn Road, we will be progressing works to install two buildouts to slow traffic in the area, as well as speed cushions, fresh road markings and new signage, in October
2022.
“We are committed to improving safety for all road users and will continue to work closely with the community and our partners to made improvements where they are required.”
In a statement earlier this year, Robyn’s family said: “We just hope that these new safety measures will stop any other family having to go through the same tragedy we did.”
Councillor Eddie Devine, whose ward covers Glenburn, said: “I was contacted by a family member of Robyn’s some time ago and this is something that we have been trying to make a reality.
“We worked hard to continue to keep this at the forefront of the council’s mind to make sure some much-needed action was taken on Glenburn Road to try to improve safety.
“I will continue to fight for road safety measures in other parts of Glenburn as well.”
