S&P 500 Giants Lead Stocks Near Buy Points; Can They Hold Up Amid The Market Pullback?

S&P 500 stocks Paccar and Parker Hannifin are in focus, along with Monday.com, Shopify and HubSpot.

The stock market rally saw generally modest losses last week after several weekly gains. So far, the pullback has been relatively calm. But until there are clear signs that it's winding down, investors generally should be cautious about making new purchases in the short run. But it's a good time to be watching stocks that are holding up relatively well.

With the current market pullback, investors should be ready to cut losses quickly and move to take partial profits. However, stocks could also power ahead next week, which investors should also watch out for.

S&P 500 stocks Paccar and Parker Hannifin are trading right around traditional buy points, along with Monday.com. Shopify and HubSpot are close to actionable entries as well. Some of them are extended from their 50-day moving averages and it remains to be seen if they will hold up in a buy zone if the market continues to slide.

SHOP stock and HubSpot are on the IBD Leaderboard.

For the full fiscal year, Wall Street forecasts EPS climbing 11% to $22.87 and sales increasing 20% to $18.96 billion.

Among its merchants services is Shop Pay. It's an accelerated checkout option for stores on the Shopify platform. Shopify Capital provides loans to merchants. The new Shop Cash rewards program provides consumers with incentives, aiming to boost GMV through higher orders.

It's in buy range now, with a little more strength also breaking a short, high-handle downtrend. But the current market pullback raises the risks of any new buys.
