Ryanair makes savage dig at expense of university student

A student has gone viral after becoming the latest victim of Ryanair's savage social media team. Noah Ellis flew with the budget airline as he and ten friends made their way to the Polish city of Krakow for a getaway on Thursday (June 29).

But the flight was far from comfortable for the 20-year-old student, who is 6ft 6in tall, as he tweeted the official Ryanair Twitter account shortly before takeoff to express his discomfort. Alongside a photograph of himself wedged in the seat, Noah asked: "Please can there be bigger seats without paying 20 quid?"

After landing in Poland, Noah discovered that Ryanair had replied to his gripe by simply cutting his head out of the photo and pasting it on an image of a child in a booster seat, reports the Manchester Evening News (MEN). The savage reply has been viewed 1.5 million times so far, and has been liked by nearly 9,000 Twitter users.

Ryanair has become infamous for its social media team's hilarious responses to customer's remarks and complaints, especially when it comes to passengers complaining about their seats and legroom, because they can pay to select their own seats and pay for additional legroom. Noah, who lives in Greater Manchester, told the MEN: "In the past, I've paid for extra legroom.

"But the flights were quite expensive and it would have been 40 quid for both ways so I just thought to myself 'I'll be fine',"

The geography student added: "But I could barely move my legs. It wasn't a proper complaint, it was just a bit of a joke. and to see if we could get them to say something. I know the reputation they've got on Twitter and have seen their responses to stuff about window seats and stuff like that before.

"But I wasn't expecting them to reply if I'm honest. We were sat having dinner when I got a notification saying they'd quote-tweeted me.

"And I thought it was really funny. We've been laughing about it since.

"My mates are loving it, I've definitely had no sympathy from them. They know how much I bang on about legroom so they just think its funny thats now been recognised."

Noah added that he has already booked extra legroom for the way home, to accommodate his height.
