Ryan Reynolds wants 'Faroe Islands meditation retreat' next year for Wrexham stars after they tore up Las Vegas

Ryan Reynolds says Wrexham's next trip will be a far more sedate affair after the players enjoyed themselves in Las Vegas.

The Red Dragons co-owner paid for the promotion heroes to have an end-of-season bash in Sin City - and the players certainly took advantage of the Hollywood star's generosity.

Pictures have emerged on social media of the travelling party lapping up VIP events, pool parties and dancing the night away with superstar DJs.

Friday evening saw co-owner Rob McElhenney and his actress wife Kaitlin Olson join the squad for dinner at the feted Spago restaurant, run by world-renowned chef Wolfgang Puck.

According to the Daily Mail, the players spent some time at The Marquee Dayclub, and it looks at though Reynolds and McElhenny have spared no expense.

"It became a thing where if we won the league, we'd get a holiday. So we're off to Vegas," star striker Paul Mullin, who bagged 47 goals this season, told GQ.

"Ryan and Rob told us to leave our cards at home, they're sorting the lot. They sent us a full itinerary just now. Part of me doesn't want to go, I might be dead by the end of it! But I'd never go to Vegas by my own accord, so I'm buzzing for it."

Reynolds has certainly approved of the players' celebrations but said next season's trip might be a little different.

The actor posted a picture on Instagram of Mullin, Elliot Lee and DJ Pauly D with the caption: "Next year, they're going on a five-day meditation retreat in the Faroe Islands", along with the hashtag "#WrexhaminVegas".

With the four-day trip coming to an end, players will be looking forward to some downtime before preparations for League Two get under way this summer.
