Road covered in 35 litres of white paint after huge spillage

A road was covered in 35 litres of white paint following a huge spillage.

Liverpool City Council were called to Inglis Road in Fazakerley on Thursday, February 17 following reports of a paint spillage.

Once at the road the council found seven, five litre cans of white paint had spilled onto the residential street.

It is believed the paint is from a house having work done on the road.

Although the council has not put a road closure in place, they are asking pedestrians and motorists to take care and avoid the area whilst it is being cleared up.

A spokesperson from Liverpool City Council said: "Our colleagues are currently dealing with a paint spillage on Inglis Road in Fazakerley.

"Motorists and pedestrians are asked to take care and avoid the area while it is being cleared up. Thank you for your patience."

The spokesperson added the team has already put down granules and are working to get rid of the bulk of the paint before a professional team clears the road in the morning.
