Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky has announced that the company will match all donations to the Ukraine red cross appeal.
The fund was launched on Friday, with customers around the world donating more than €1m in 24 hours to support the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Funds will be used for humanitarian aid and first aid for those affected by the invasion of Ukraine - including those forced to flee their homes.
The service also waived fees for all remittances to Ukraine - allowing its global customers to send money at no cost to banks in the country.
On Tuesday, Storonsky wrote in a company blog: "Today, in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, I am announcing that every donation made to the Red Cross Ukraine appeal will be matched by Revolut. For every pound or euro or złoty or franc donated by a Revolut customer to the appeal, Revolut will donate the same again, from today for the next 7 days, up to £1.5m.
"I hope that our commitment will help the victims of this war. I sincerely hope that a diplomatic solution can be found quickly, allowing peace to be restored to the region.
"And I can only hope that day will come very soon."
