MOGA: In a big push for the comprehensive development of Moga district, a delegation of Indian Ambassadors from 7 countries on Tuesday assured all possible help for the overall development of the district.
The delegation comprised Ambassador of India in Netherland Reenat Sandhu, Pawan Kapoor, Indian Ambassador in Russia, Indian Ambassador in Mongolia MP Singh, Indian Ambassador in Togo Sanjiv Tandon and Indian Ambassador of Turkey Varinder Paul.
In a meeting with the district administration, the members of the delegation expressed satisfaction that the program launched by NITI Aayog is getting a positive response in aspirational district Moga.
The delegation also assured that full international cooperation to be ensured for Moga as Deputy commissioner was asked to provide proposals in that regard, especially in the field of skill development and diversification of agriculture.
The delegation also asked the officials to put more emphasis on skill development to make the youth skilled, agricultural diversification to save groundwater. Members of the delegation also reviewed the works being done under the Aspirational District Program at village Attari.
Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh informed the delegation that amongst the 112 aspirational districts in the entire country, Moga has attained the 26th rank.
Talking about the program which was launched in 2018 under which an amount of Rs. 9 crore has been granted to district Moga was fully utilised on health, education, infrastructure, agriculture and financial activities. Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration would leave no stone unturned to fulfill all the indicators under the guidelines of NITI Aayog in the District.
IG Faridkot Pradeep Kumar Yadav and Moga Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana were present.
