When Prince Harry was tasked with planning his early dates with Meghan Markle, he couldn't just pick a fancy restaurant or bar near his home.
They wanted to keep their blossoming romance quiet while they worked out if it was something serious, which meant making sure they were never seen out and about together.
Their first two dates were to the exclusive private members bar Soho House and they jetted off the Botswana for meeting number three.
But after that they decided to take a different approach to getting to know each other, with Harry describing it as "reversing the whole process". They swapped romantic nights out for cozy nights in - and it changed their relationship forever.
Speaking in their engagement interview, Harry said the unusual approach made their relationship even stronger.
He told the BBC : "We had to sort of reverse the whole process and cozy nights in, in front of the television, cooking dinner with just the two of us by ourselves in our little cottage rather going out for dinner and being seen in public.
"So we, we reversed the whole process which is, it's provided different opportunities. And has made us a hell of a lot closer in a short space of time. That's without question."
Meghan added: "We were able to really get to know each other that way, but also then to go and have friends over for dinner or to go to his family's tea or any of those things and even you know just to take the time to be able to go on long country walks and just talk."
In the interview Meghan and Harry said they were set up by a friend and they expended on this in their Netflix show.
They explained they actually got chatting on Instagram after Harry came across a photo of Meghan on a friend's feed.
The fun picture, showing Meghan with a dog ear filter, was posted by his friend Violet and he messaged her straight away to ask who the mysterious woman was.
The pal replied saying he was the seventh guy to ask about Meghan, but that didn’t dampen Harry’s hopes.
Violet told him about Meghan’s career and explained she was in the UK to watch tennis at Wimbledon. She then asked Harry if he wanted her to pass his Instagram handle onto Meghan, which he agreed to.
And then, the following day, a message popped up on his screen.
It said: “Hello! Beautiful photos.”
They spent a lot of time chatting before agreeing to meet up. Harry suggested Meghan came over to his Kensington Palace apartment, but she turned down the invitation. Instead, she booked them into a private room at Soho House.
