Online fast fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing has been making waves for their cream ribbed dress, which has caused plenty of buzz on TikTok.

One Tiktoker, @nelsb, uploaded her try-on video featuring the dress on July 18 - the video has since garnered 73.k views.
She went on to explain that the dress is “like a thick ribbed material so it actually feels quite expensive but it was literally £20” and added: “It fits me perfectly. I feel like this dress is perfect for date night. It’s classy but sexy.’’
Another TikToker, @charleybourne, shared her own take on the dress, emphasising the item to be the “dress of dreams”, as she showcased the cream ribbed material with a cup detailing and back split.
In her video, which raked up 128.5k views, she said advised her followers that “’this is your sign to get the viral PLT dress.’’
Other users flooded to the comments’ section to share their excitement over the dress as one user wrote: “omg need!!” while another shared their woes of not being able to get their hands on the almost sold-out dress by writing: “None left in my size” alongside a cry face emoji.
On the other hand a few others also expressed their concern over the fitting of the dress as one commented: “my GG cups said no [laughing emoji] love it though” while a second said: “Omg don’t buy this it’s so see through” and a third chimed in: “Cries in petite”.
Since the dress is causing a second British heatwave on TikTok, it's no shock that PrettyLittleThing has reported that since the dress’s rise in popularity, Google searches for the ‘PLT cream ribbed dress’ have risen by a whopping 359% over the past month.

In other PLT related news, influencer Molly Mae Hague had another Instagram post banned, after failing to mention the post being part of an ad. On July 13, Hague posted a picture of her wearing a PrettyLittleThing dress alongside a link to purchase it on her Instagram story.
However, as Molly-Mae is the company’s creative director, her contract with PLT explicitly states that she is required to include the word “#ad” to disclose the post's purpose, as others complained that the ad did not make its promotional intent clear.
The ASA said: "We noted that the story had appeared in Molly-Mae Hague's own account and did not contain any indication that it was a marketing communication."
This was the third time Molly-Mae has been flagged by the ASA since 2020 for incorrectly labelling an ad on social media, as the rules emphasise that content must be “clear, obvious and identifiable as advertising".
