Police urgently search for missing boy, 12, saying they are worried for his safety

Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old last seen yesterday afternoon and say they are worried for his safety.

Charlie Sloane, 12, was last seen leaving an address in Hull Road, York.

North Yorkshire police say they are searching a number of areas in the city and are concerned for his safety.

They added that Charlie was last seen wearing a red and black jumper.

A spokesman said: "We're currently searching for a missing 12-year-old boy in York.

"Charlie Sloane was last seen leaving an address in the Hull Road area yesterday afternoon.

"We're concerned for his safety and we are searching a number of areas of the city right now.

"Charlie could be wearing a red and black jumper, which he was last seen in."
