Police have launched an investigation after a brick was thrown through the window of a home in Sunderland.
A vehicle belonging to the occupant of the home was also damaged, and was later recovered from the scene of the incident.
The criminal damage took place at a property on Belmont Road, in the Pallion area of Sunderland, at around 7pm on Monday.

A male suspect reportedly fled the scene shortly after the incident.
Northumbria Police has now launched an investigation into the damages, with officers urging anyone with information to come forward and speak with them directly.
A spokesman for the force said: “Shortly after 7.05pm yesterday (Monday) Police received a report of criminal damage at a property on Belmont Road, Sunderland.
“It was reported that a male had approached the house and thrown a brick through the window, before damaging the occupant's car, which was parked near the property.
"The male has then fled the scene.
“An investigation has been launched and officers are keen to hear from anyone with information about this incident."
