Police cordon put up around building with man taken to hospital

A police cordon has been in place around a building on a busy road for most of today (August 24) after police were called early in the morning to an incident. At around 5am police were called to Halliwell Road, Bolton, to concern for a male.

A cordon was put up which has remained in place for much of the day. Police say the mane was later taken to hospital as part of the mental health act.

Pictures taken at the scene showed police tape around a building with officers in attendance.
