Merseyside Police and the ambulance service swarmed a street after an incident.
The force rushed to Boundary Road in St Helens at around 3.35pm on Tuesday, June 14, following reports of a concern for the safety of a woman. A large emergency presence attended the scene.
Officers from Merseyside Police remain at the scene and have said there is no wider concern for the public.

A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "Officers responded to an incident in St Helens today, Tuesday 14 June. At around 3.35pm we received a report of a concern for safety of a woman at a property on Boundary Road.
"There is no cause for concern to the public while we deal with this incident."
Earlier this afternoon there was an incident in the nearby Queen's Park after a group of men were seen with knives in the park. Merseyside Police confirmed four men have been arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Nobody is believed to be injured, and the incidents are not linked.
