Platinum Jubilee bank holiday: Are shops in Scotland open and will Royal Mail be delivering?

As the UK gears up for the upcoming bank holiday weekend for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, there may be a few changes to supermarket opening times and Royal Mail deliveries.

The celebrations are set to kick off on Thursday, June 2, with Scots being able to enjoy a long four day weekend to mark her majesties' 70 years on the throne.

With many bank holidays, supermarkets in Scotland have occasionally changed up their opening times, and your normal postal services can change as well.

Which is why it can be handy to know any information before you go planning any garden parties that require you to take a trip to the store, or if you need to send out any post.

To make sure you don't get caught out this week, here is all the information you need on store opening times, and Royal Mail delivery changes for this bank holiday weekend.

Are supermarkets and stores open this bank holiday weekend?

Luckily for shoppers, it looks like many supermarkets and your favourite retailers will be open as normal for the Queen's Jubilee. That means any last minute dashes for food, drinks and decorations will most likely not be interrupted.

If you're looking to stock up on any items for planned celebrations, then here are the opening times for Aldi, Lidl, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's and more.
