Piers Morgan reignited his bitter feud with Alex Beresford today after calling him an "idiot" and accusing him of "rehearsing lines".
The former Good Morning Britain host, 57, appeared on Lorraine today in his first outing to ITV daytime since his very abrupt exit from GMB.
Former colleagues Piers and Alex had a very public falling out over his remarks about Meghan Markle, which led to the host storming off and later quitting the show.
Speaking to host Lorraine Kelly, he accused Alex of wanting his "moment of YouTube fame".
He said: "Apparently he was heard out the back rehearsing his lines. Clearly wanted to have his little YouTube moment of fame, and that’s fine. I know he was planning a Hollywood career.
"I’m not quite sure how it’s going; I’ve not heard any updates."
Opening up about what he missed and did not miss about GMB, he said: "The thing I don't miss about Good Morning Britain is the early starts and my wife Cecilia in particular is thrilled that I don't forget to do my second alarm - it goes and wakes her up three times a night.
"But I did have a great time - I don't want to create a wrong impression. I had a lovely time at ITV, I worked there for many years doing Life Stories and other shows and particularly Good Morning Britain. Loved working with Susanna [Reid]. It was a weird thing.
"We had an arranged marriage where you get put with someone you don't really know and we sort of fired off each other, and then we really understood each other. And then just at the moment the marriage was really flourishing, we have to suddenly get divorced!"
Lorraine accused it of being "his fault because [he] walked out".
After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, Piers said: "I had a little time out because I wasn't sure how I would respond if I stayed sitting there listening to that idiot giving me his two pennies worth.
"So I did walk back in and I did finish that show and then I was presented with a fait accompli and chose not to apologise and to leave. But I did have a great time."
Piers quit GMB, after co-hosting the show with Susanna Reid since 2015, after bosses called for him to apologise for remarks he made about Meghan Markle.
Following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Meghan claimed that a royal voiced "concerns" over Archie's skin colour and that she felt suicidal but wasn't able to get help, Piers accused her of lying as he fiercely lashed out at her on Good Morning Britain.
After a Twitter battle with weatherman Alex , Piers called him to appear on the show the next day to debate the topic.
However, a furious row erupted on set, which led to Piers storming off set as Alex called his behaviour "diabolical".
Recently, Piers claimed that he would have slapped his co-star if he hadn't walked off.
Referring to the shocking moment Will Smith smacked Chris Rock live on air, he tweeted in March: "So much snowflakey bullsh*t re Oscars smackdown. You can think Will Smith wrong to slap Chris Rock but still understand why he did it if he thought - incorrectly - Rock was deliberately mocking his wife’s alopecia in front of a gazillion people. I’d have probably done the same."
A rather sceptical follower shared a screen grab of the famous moment he walked off GMB and tweeted: "Course you would!"
Piers quote tweeted the remark and wrote: "Ironically, I walked out to stop myself slapping him…"
