Phillip Schofield makes cheeky comment about Holly Willoughby and husband as she reveals dinner disaster

Phillip Schofield was slightly thrown off at the start of the latest This Morning as Holly Willoughby revealed her recent dinner disaster.

Moments before going live on the ITV daytime show Holly told her co-host that she had chipped her tooth.

It happened after her husband, Dan Baldwin, cooked her dinner.

After their shaky start to Tuesday's programme, Phillip quickly explained what Holly had told him.

The 59-year-old presenter said: "She just said thirty seconds ago, in fact only ten seconds ago... 'I chipped my tooth on a mussel yesterday'.

"And I said 'What? Dan's?'".

Holly, 41, replied: "I did. It was a... Dan cooked for me, very nicely. It was very nice, it was a little, like a sort of, cod in a broth and there were mussels in it. It was quite brave because you know what I am like with mussels.

"And as I fished them out I went to eat it and there was a tiny little bit of shell in there.

Holly revealed all as they opened the latest episode of This Morning (ITV)

"Luckily, I think it's the back of my tooth... So it is all alright."

Phil was quick to reiterate his first joke, commenting: "I thought for a minute he'd been working out", to which Holly began to giggle and simply replied: "No".

Holly freaked out live on This Morning last year when she was confronted with muscles from one of the show's many chefs.

After Phillip described the mussels as ‘absolutely stunning’, Holly jokingly asked him: ‘As far as you’re concerned, are those mussels?’

Holly nervously laughed before Phillip outed her and told viewers what his fellow presenter had told him off-air.

"Well, alright then. You just put… I was going to let this go! – You just said, 'Do you know what I can’t eat them, I don’t like mussels. What I’m going to do is I’m going to break a bit of bread and put it inside this shell,'" Phillip said.

Holly squealed: "Oh my god," before confirming she does actually like mussels, but prefers to 'eat them in the dark'.
