Man trapped after Queanbeyan crash taken to hospital with minor injuries

A man who was trapped inside a car after it was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Canberra Avenue has been taken to the emergency department.

He was taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries, NSW police said.

The crash occurred on the major road between Lanyon Drive and Ross Drive in Queanbeyan, with lanes closed in both directions until after 9pm on July 31.

NSW police were at the scene directing traffic while emergency services, including NSW Ambulance, attended the incident.

"The priority is to get the person ... the driver out of the car," a NSW police spokeswoman said.

She added police would be investigating the crash which took place near Queanbeyan West.

The incident was reported about 6.15pm on Wednesday, July 31.

A utility company and tow truck were also providing assistance at the location.
