A person has been rescued from a fire in Anfield.
Firefighters found the person inside the burning building and led them out from the flames. The former Barclays bank building, which is now a three storey property with a shop on the ground floor and flats on the first and second floors was involved in fire.
Emergency services, including North West Ambulance service and police, rushed to the scene at around 8.20pm on Monday, April 24. Six fire engines and an aerial appliance helped to put out the blaze.

Fire crews forced entry to the building to extinguish the fire and check for any occupants. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the fire with hose reel jets.
One person was found inside the building and was led outside. They were described as being "conscious and breathing" and were looked after by paramedics at the scene.
A spokesperson for Merseyside fire and rescue service said: "A person has been located and led from the building by fire crews, conscious and breathing and they are now in the care of North West Ambulance Service. A full systematic search of all floors of the building continues, however the main body of fire has been extinguished."
This morning Merseyside police remain at the scene. The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
