A person has died after a serious fire inside a block of flats.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call at 5.36pm on Friday, November 4, following reports of a fire at St Domingo Grove, Everton. Once three fire engines arrived at the scene, Riverside's Liberton Court, they found a first floor flat on fire.
Four firefighters ran into the burning flat with one hose reel jet and began work putting out the fire. Due to huge plumes of smoke filling up hallways in the block of flats, other flats were evacuated.
