A fire during the early hours of this morning (February 20) has left a shop in Easton badly damaged - with a number of people having to rush out of the building. Avon Fire and Rescue Service were called out to the scene on Stapleton Road just after 3.30am.
Crews found the property, which has a shop unit on the ground floor and homes in the two storeys above it, alight and used three high pressure hoses and a 45mm jet to extinguish the flames. All the people who had been inside the building when the fire was raging had managed to escape and the cause of the blaze has been deemed as "accidental ignition".
It has not been confirmed by the emergency services which property was involved on the road, but pictures from the scene show the Gul Superstar shop was fire damaged. A police car was also outside the shop this morning.

A statement from the fire service said: "Crews from Temple, Southmead and Bedminster were called to reports of a fire at 3.34am. On arrival, crews found a fire in a three-storey property used as commercial premises with housing above.
"All persons were accounted for after residents of the property self-evacuated. With four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, crews used three high pressure hose reels and one 45mm jet to extinguish the fire.
"Crews also used small tools, gas monitors and thermal imaging cameras for access and to check that the scene was safe. The cause of the incident was determined to have been accidental ignition after a fire investigation."
