Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes offered his opinion on the never-ending debate regarding the greatest NBA legend of all-time between Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
The quarterback played it safe and didn’t give a direct answer when asked to choose one NBA star.
“Man, that’s a tough one,” Mahomes said on FS1’s First Things First. “My dad used to have me like watching documentaries on DVDs of Michael Jordan, like classic games. So, I’d say if I had one game, I would take Michael Jordan, or one series. But, I would say for a full, entire season, I gotta go with LeBron because he can do a little bit of everything.”
So, it sounds like Mahomes considers both Jordan and James the “GOATs” depending on the scenario.
Mahomes is often thrown around in conversations about who the current NFL quarterback “GOAT” is. However, NFL fans mostly agree that newly retired quarterback Tom Brady is the “GOAT” for winning the most Super Bowls in history (7) and having the longest career (23 seasons) in quarterback history.
Mahomes is gearing up to make his third Super Bowl appearance in just four years when the Chiefs face the Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 12 in Arizona.
