Parents wanting cut-price Christmas are in luck as top 10 toys start from under £10

Parents wanting a cut-price Christmas might get their wish granted this year.

Toys in a top 10 unveiled today start from under a tenner.

And eight of the industry experts’ tips cost less than £50.

Cheapest is a cuddly Squishmallow toy for £9. The plushie animals come in a variety of different colours and sizes, but this purple seal is popular.

Other value-for-money playthings with the X-factor include a Pokemon Sword and Shield Astral Radiance Elite Trainer Box packed with collectible cards and booster packs for £42.50.

The interactive and educational DJ Bouncin’ Beats is £45.

A Zuru Smashers Dino Island Giant Skull is £37.

You can Marvel at a Lego model figure of Groot from the Guardians Of The Galaxy for £45 or a 3D Iron Man’s helmet puzzle at just £30. Families able to push the boat out a bit more may fancy spending £90 on a Lego Batmobile, or for £60 there’s a Barbie Chelsea Playhouse.

The list was compiled by Tesco.

Anne Borrett, the supermarket’s toys category manager, explained: “We know times are really hard at the moment.

“So our team of experts have created a list based on a number of factors that will not only put a smile on kids’ faces but also parents’ and carers’.

“There are toys for all budgets but more than half are priced between £30 and £45.”
