The Palestinian government described the practices of the Israeli occupation forces and continuous attacks by settlers as an Israeli war.
The Foreign Ministry denounced in a statement the violence and settlers' attacks committed against Palestinians.
It stressed the official Israeli denial of the “right of our people to their homeland and to self-determination without foreign occupation and colonial settlement.”
It said the Israeli government, led by the extremist, Naftali Bennett, is dismissing any chances to achieve peace based on the two-state solution.
The statement said Israel is establishing by force of occupation its racist colonial regime in occupied Palestine, in a daily proof of its hostility to peace and its disapproval of the Palestinian peace discourse.
The ministry said these actions reflect Israel’s persistence to defy the international legitimacy, its resolutions, and the international peacemaking efforts.
This came as dozens of Israeli settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque flanked by Israeli police on Friday.
They entered from the al-Maghariba Gate, performed Talmud rituals and carried out provocative tours.
Also, thousands of Palestinian citizens performed Friday prayers at the Mosque despite the measures imposed by the Israeli occupation authorities at the gates and entrances of the Old City in occupied Jerusalem.
The Islamic Endowment Department in Jerusalem estimated the number of worshipers at Al-Aqsa at about 40,000.
