A number of offences have been reported by officers after speed checks were conducted across Rushcliffe. Nottinghamshire Police carried out speed checks on Shelford Road and Radcliffe on Trent, whilst also searching for vehicles across the south of Rushcliffe without tax, insurance of MOT.
Those found without the correct documents in place have been reported, but officers also came across other offences during the checks. Including the possession of cannabis and the use of a vehicle where the load/number of passengers can be a danger.
In a Facebook post, Rushcliffe South Police stated: "Officers have conducted further Speed checks on Shelford Road, Radcliffe on Trent and have spent time proactively searching for vehicles without tax, Insurance or MOT across Rushcliffe South. As a result, those found using vehicles without the correct documents in place have been reported for the relevant driving offence.
"Other offences established during stops were possession of Cannabis and the most unusual offence being Use a vehicle with the load/number of persons carried likely to cause danger. On this occasion, a passenger was located in the rear of the van smoking cannabis. Driver and passenger have been reported."
