Following the release of revised polling data on Sunday night, the New Popular Front, a coalition of five parties, is currently projected to secure between 171 to 187 seats in the upcoming election. However, to achieve an absolute majority, a minimum of 289 seats is required.
President Macron's party, Ensemble, is anticipated to become the second-largest bloc with a projected range of 152 to 163 seats, surpassing initial expectations.
Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen's far-right National Rally (RN) is closely trailing behind, expected to secure between 134 and 152 seats. This marks a significant increase from the 89 seats the party won in the previous election in 2022.
The RN's performance was initially anticipated to be stronger, especially after emerging as the leading party in the first round of voting. However, its vote share may have been impacted by the strategic withdrawal of hundreds of centrist and leftist candidates in the second round, aimed at preventing the far-right party from gaining further ground.
