Netflix has announced that the hit animated show Big Mouth will be returning for the seventh season. Hollywood news site Deadline also reports that its spin-off show, Human Resources, will also be returning for its second series.
For anyone who hasn't caught the show yet, Big Mouth is a half-hour adult animated sitcom created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, produced by Brutus Pink exclusively for Netflix and first aired in 2017. The same company also produces the spin-off series Human Resources.
Netflix describes Big Mouth by saying, "Teenage friends find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty in this edgy comedy", and series six of the show is due to be released on the platform later in the year. Creator Nick Kroll also lends his voice to the show, alongside other regulars John Mulaney and Jessi Klein, as well as other cast members Jason Mantzoukas, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, Jordan Peele, Maria Bamford, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto and many more.
The series has proved a hit with Netflix fans and currently has an 8/10 IMDB rating with a 99% Rotten Tomatoes score. According to Netflix, many of the same creators are also involved with the spin-off series Human Resources, a workplace animated drama that sees magical creatures "juggle romance, workplace drama and their human clients' needs." Series one of the show was released on the platform earlier in the year and is available to stream now.
